How girth is calculated
For a rectangular box, girth equals twice the sum of the two smaller dimensions:
girth = 2 × (width + height)
length + girth = length + 2 × (width + height)
For a cylindrical tube, girth is the circumference of the circular cross-section:
girth = π × diameter
length + girth = length + π × diameter
Always measure outer dimensions of the finished package, including any padding, wrapping, or protrusions. Carriers round up to the next whole inch when verifying.
